This series consists of letters from the U.S. Land Office to the Huntsville Land Office Registers and Receivers. Some of the items are circular letters concerning office procedure, while most relate to individual land purchases and claims. A couple of letters, 1889, discuss the selection of university lands by the University of Ala. Land Commissioner, A.C. Hargrove.
